BBC / Asia with Sir David Attenborough

What It Took

The new series of ASIA with Sir David Attenborough is one of the most ambitious nature series in history — not just being the largest continent, but the sheer extremities of the locations, from himalaya, ice sheets, deep jungle, with animals often in remote places and taking months to track, and wait for. Couple this with the ambition to make it the most beautiful reportage and cinematic series to date. So we decided there was no greater way to sell the show than digging up the behind the scenes footage, to show what actually went into different famous single shots — a shot often only seconds in the final show, but years in the making with extreme hardships faced, from climbing mountains, walking through minefields, or braving arctic temperatures.
